Clancy's is holding a contest called Last Band Standing. It's basically a five-week-long battle of the bands, and the winner gets a gig at the pub.
Here's how it works: The first 12 bands that sign up play sets at Clancy's, with three bands playing on each of the four Monday nights in September. Audience members vote for their favorites. Then there's finale on Oct. 6, at which the winner will be named.
There's no entry fee, but the only way to sign up is by sending an email to clancysbookings@yahoo.com. The subject line should read "Last Band."
