Tampa's amphitheatre has yet another new name

  The Tampa concert venue formerly known as the 1-800-GARY Amphitheatre has a new name.
  It's now the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre.

  It's the fourth name in the venue's nine-year history. It opened as the Ford Amphitheatre, then became the 1-800-ASK-GARY in 2010, and then was briefly called Live Nation Amphitheatre until Live nation, the company that operates the amphitheatre, found a new naming sponsor.
   The new name was announced today.
   The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre is at the Florida State Fairgrounds, at 4802 US Highway 301 North in Tampa.
   

Black Sabbath comes to Tampa July 29

   The essentially reunited Black Sabbath is coming to Tampa.
   Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler have recently completed their first album together in decades -- it's called "13" and it's due out in June -- and they're touring America. They'll stop at Tampa's Live Nation Amphiththeatre July 29. (Drummer Bill Ward is out because of some kind of contract dispute.)

Dylan, Wilco coming to Tampa June 27

  You never know what you're going to get from a Bob Dylan concert, but it's always great to have the chance to find out.
  He'll be at the Live Nation Amphitheatre

  His live shows are sometimes sublime and sometimes silly. But this time, just in case Mr. Zimmerman's in a foul mood, he's got two very reliable live acts opening: My Morning Jacket and Wilco. They're both phenomenal in concert, and people who like Dylan will probably like both of them.

Heart, Bonham play in Tampa June 18

   Heart and Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience are starting their national "Heartbreaker" tour in West Palm Beach June 17. The second stop on the tour is at Tampa's Live Nation Amphitheatre on June 18.
   The Wilson sisters and Bonham's Zeppelin tribute band teamed up at the Kennedy Center in December, and did a memorable rendition of "Stairway to Heaven." On the tour, Bonham's band and Heart will each play a set, and then they'll finish the show together with a half-hour "Zep-a-thon."
   Tickets go on sale Saturday, March 23. Prices haven't been announced yet. We'll let you know when they are, but you can also check livenation.com.

Country's coolest couple, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, are headed to Tampa. Alas, not on the same date but both artists will be performing this year at the newly renamed Live Nation Amphitheatre at the Florida State Fairgrounds, formerly 1-800-ASK-GARY (yep, glad that clunker has been retired).

Lambert and Shelton are part of Live Nation Amphitheatre's Country Megaticket, an expanded eight-show “package” featuring many of the top country acts. The series starts May 11 with a performance by Tim McGraw.
