The Straz Center of Tampa announces full 2012-13 season

The Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the longest running venue of its kind in Florida, will celebrate its 25th anniversary season with an eclectic program of fresh attractions and fan favorites.

There will be touring Broadway hits.

An opera and dramatic play series.

Plus a slew of dance, comedy, music and educational events.

Highlights range from the return of Jerry Seinfeld to "Flashdance -- The Musical," the new stage adaptation of the 1983 hit film that will begin performances on Broadway in the fall.

Hot tickets also include another run of "Wicked," a return by comedian/TV star Louis C.K. and the regional premiere of "American Idiot," the rock musical based on the best-selling Green Day concept album of the same name.
