The Players Theatre of Sarasota Broadway Series: tickets on sale month sooner

The Players Theatre of Sarasota announced tickets will go on sale a month sooner than anticipated.

Beginning Aug. 1, patrons can purchase individual tickets to the Broadway Series shows “Applause,” “Nunsense,” “Annie,” "Sunset Blvd.,” “9 to 5,” “Harvey” and “Side Show”.

“Tickets for our Broadway Season typically go on sale on September 1, said Michelle Bianchi Pingel, managing director for the community theater company, in a statement. “We have had such an overwhelming demand for single tickets that we decided to back up the date to Wednesday, August 1. I believe our single ticket buyers are nervous that they won’t get a seat, since we had a number of sold out performances this past season.”

Broadway Series tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for students. Subscriptions for the Broadway Series range from $60 for three shows to $122.50 for all seven shows.
