After spending a decade as a journalist largely covering music, there are few great, living acts I haven't seen perform. Of those, Prince tops my list. Easily. Genius singer, songwriter, bandleader, guitarist, killer dresser...
He's an artist who does it all. Alas, somehow I've managed to miss him in concert all these years. But this might change sooner than later. At least I hope so.
Prince just announced his "Welcome 2 America" tour, which will start in December. He says it features him headlining a roster that includes many other like-minded luminaries such as masterful jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson — also on my must-see list!
